FUTURE HEALTH
COMMUNITIES
We are bridging gaps, creating connections, and sharing knowledge via university programs, panel discussions, public events, and educational campaigns.
The Communities pillar of FutureHEALTH exists to make health tech accessible and inclusive. We believe that innovation only succeeds when everyone is equipped to embrace and champion it: students, healthcare workers, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and the wider public.
Through learning, dialogue, and collaboration, we’re creating a culture where technology strengthens healthcare and empowers people to live healthier lives.
University Partnerships
Working closely with the University of the West Indies (Cave Hill Campus), we are integrating health technology into curricula across the Faculties of Medical Sciences and Science & Technology.
Pilot initiative:
COMP 1170 - Entrepreneurship for Computer Scientists — introducing health tech as a focus for student learning in the Fall 2025 semester.

Knowledge Sharing & Collaboration
We host and co-create events with partners to exchange insights and ideas. From our official launch to having appearances at symposiums and public discussions, these gatherings create space for healthcare professionals, innovators, and the community to connect.

Awareness & Conversations
We engage the wider community through digital content and storytelling that make health tech accessible and relatable.
Coming Soon:
FutureHEALTH Talks Podcast – our platform for sparking honest conversations about health innovation in Barbados and the Caribbean.
Community Network Hub
We’re building a digital hub for innovators, healthcare professionals, and the public to access resources, share knowledge, and collaborate.
In the meantime, we have Co-Founder Connector, to help potential founders find collaborators across disciplines: linking clinicians, developers, designers, and business minds who want to build together.
